A couple of friends of mine threw my name in the pot to help out on a music video shoot. When I received the email from Shane Drake, I immediately went to his website to see who he was and the type of work he does. I was pretty shocked to see that he has had a hand in directing a ton of music videos I grew up with. So it was a no brainer to say yes.

The band we were working with is from Orlando. Magnolia Park was a band I was unfamiliar with, but pretty acquainted with their overall sound as it’s a genre of music I grew up with as well.

The weather was brutal. We shot in/on a parking garage in downtown Orlando during the earliest part of the day, which meant we were outside during the most brutal hours of direct sunlight. For me though, this meant I didn’t have to worry too much about crazy lighting conditions and had plenty of space to move around.
