In the beginning of the pandemic, I found myself becoming consumed by the thought of losing the local businesses that help make our communities so unique. When I was scrolling through social media one day, I came across Miami Fruits. When I was a kid, I had always had a weird obsession surrounding unique tropical fruits. During the pandemic, I decided to support as many local businesses as possible, and one of those was Miami Fruits. Miami Fruits has become a viral sensation because they grow and source some of the most rare and bizarre tropical fruits in the state of Florida. After I moved to South Florida and found myself on a slow down with work, I just reached out to Miami Fruits and asked if I could come to the farm to highlight their property and the unique produce they offer. Rane (the owner) was generous enough to have me out to show me around the property, educate me on their incredibly sustainable farming practices, and showcase how small of an operation it truly is.
